I specialize in providing online Perinatal Psychotherapy and respectful parenting coaching for neurodivergent mothers from all backgrounds. Providing these services online allows me to serve anyone in California and Minnesota remotely. It can be challenging to get out of the house to attend therapy during the perinatal period. With online Perinatal therapy, you don't need to drive anywhere.
My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, person-centered, warm, and insightful. I would also very much consider my style to be existential. This means that my primary aim as a therapist is to act as a compassionate guide during your process of self-discovery. I believe strongly in fostering a non-judgmental experience for my clients where they can engage in deeper self-discovery and self-acceptance.
I believe the point of therapy is to help you learn more about yourself. This is not easily done since we can live our lives seemingly on autopilot and miss out on opportunities to adapt ourselves in order to live life more fully. Therapy offers a unique opportunity to have another human being sit with you and show you what you perhaps cannot see yourself.
I am trained in the following therapy approaches: Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian), Existential psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness/meditation, Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing, Jungian Psychotherapy, Yoga Therapy, and EMDR.
