About me

I am the mother of two daughters and I have been a practicing therapist for over 10 years. I came to this work because I fell in love with philosophy and the gift that therapy can be for people. I am honored to provide a nonjudgmental space for people to learn about themselves. I know how important it is to seek help and not try to get through your darkest days without support.
I spend most of my days working for Lyra Health as a therapist, running this practice, creating finance podcast episodes with a fellow mompreneur, and homeschooling my kids. To say my life is full would be an understatement. But I find immense joy and meaning in the work I do. And I believe that my own pursuits greatly improve my ability to show up fully for my clients.
When I am not working or homeschooling my kids, you will find me hiking or running outdoors.
If you want specific info about my training:
I am trained by Postpartum Support International in the treatment of Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD). I have advanced training in Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Yoga Therapy, Insight Meditation, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I will pull from these modalities to best help you meet your therapy goals.
I specialize in working with mothers who identify as neurodivergent. Being neurodivergent myself, I understand how hard it can be to parent in a neurotypical world. Being neurodivergent gives me an extra ability to serve my neurokin as a therapist who can deeply relate.
Some other info about me:
I am an Autistic homeschooling (unschooling) mom of two biracial/bicultural children living in the Bay Area. I value the environment, I try to live lightly and simply on the earth. I have always been focused on social justice issues and this has led me to sit on the Human Rights Commission in my county and intern with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. I met my spouse in Rwanda while working in human rights advocacy. I respect all people and I am committed to cultural humility.
